By using GreatJob, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you are a parent or guardian registering on behalf of a child, you represent that you have read and understood this policy and consent on their behalf.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When a parent or guardian creates a family account, we collect an email address and Google or Apple account credentials used for sign-in. Children's profiles are created by the parent and require only a display nickname — we never ask children for their real name, email, or contact details.
Usage Data
We collect information about how you interact with GreatJob, including tasks completed, coins and XP earned, lessons viewed, investments made in the simulated market, and rewards redeemed. This data is used to provide and improve the service.
Device & Technical Data
We automatically collect device type, operating system version, app version, and crash/error logs. We do not collect precise GPS location.
How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
• Provide, operate, and improve the GreatJob service
• Enable parents to manage family tasks, rewards, and schedules
• Personalise children's learning and gamification experience
• Send push notifications for task approvals, rewards, and reminders (parents control notification preferences)
• Respond to support requests
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
We do not use children's data for advertising, behavioral profiling, or any purpose beyond delivering the service.
Children's Privacy (COPPA)
GreatJob is designed for families. Children under 13 use the platform under their parent's or guardian's family account.
• We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent
• Children's profiles use only a nickname — no email address, phone number, or real name is required or stored for child accounts
• Parents can review, edit, or delete a child's profile and all associated data at any time from the parent dashboard
• If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child without parental consent, please contact us immediately at the address below and we will delete it promptly
For users in the European Economic Area, processing of children's data under 16 requires parental or guardian consent in accordance with GDPR Article 8.
Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only in these limited circumstances:
• Service providers: Third-party vendors (e.g., cloud hosting, push notification services) who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements
• Legal requirements: When required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users
• Business transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, user data may be transferred — we will notify you in advance
We currently use Google Cloud infrastructure for hosting and Google Firebase for push notifications.
Cookies & Tracking
The GreatJob website uses essential cookies to maintain your login session and language preference. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking technologies.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so may prevent you from staying signed in.
Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:
• Your family account and all child profiles are permanently deleted within 30 days
• Task history, coins, XP, and investment data are removed
• Anonymised, aggregated usage statistics may be retained for product analytics
You can request account deletion from the parent dashboard settings or by contacting support.
Security
We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, hashed credentials, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage parents to use strong, unique passwords and to log out when using shared devices.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and associated data
• Portability — receive your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time

Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy in-app and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of GreatJob after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
